in late 2019 I had an idea for a concept LP entitled 'lunch tracks' made up of short, concise, poppy tunes made with Korg DS10 running on a handheld Nintendo DS console. all the tracks would be created on my lunch break from work at a large arts organisation in London (which shall remain nameless). the project was inspired by the poetry book 'Lunch Poems' by Frank O Hara. it was going well. I had done a lot of work on it and I had some wicked music in the pipeline. covid struck. i tried to complete the project at home but the vibe was not the same. i got kicked out of my job and from that point on it just didn't feel right to finish the project as was originally conceived. this LP is made from the remnants of that project. a couple of the tracks remain intact. the rest mutated into something else in the very different working atmosphere of covid lockdown/social isolation. everything was recorded live at home in 2020 with a bit of minor mixing done over a few days in early Jan 2021. with any luck i will do some live shows with this set up once that kind of thing is able to happen again.

this LP is dedicated to all the people trying to do something positive during the pandemic and working towards carrying that over once it's finished.

FUCK YOU to all the big arts institutions that treated their staff like shit during covid. you know who you are, assholes!
